Unveiled over a year ago, the Porsche Cayenne Coupé is now available and ready to bring the Cayenne DNA and personality to a larger set of buyers. The Porsche Cayenne Coupé shares many components with the traditional Cayenne including its powertrains, interior design, wheels, and more.
The difference is in the design, the styling, and the overall look of the Cayenne Coupé. Sportier and designed for a different type of buyer, the Cayenne Coupé is described by Porsche CEO Oliver Blume as being more progressive, athletic, and emotional. It’s for buyers who want the versatility and interior space of the Cayenne with a more distinctive design and a more outgoing style. The Cayenne Coupé is offered in four versions, the Cayenne Coupé, e-Hybrid Coupé, Cayenne S Coupé, and the Cayenne Turbo Coupé. No other automaker offers as many versions in its coupe SUV lineup. Here’s an overview of the models and the differences. Most of the differences have to do with the engine compartment.
Porsche Cayenne Coupé
The Porsche Cayenne Coupé starts at $86,400 and is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 that delivers 335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. The engine’s power is sent to all four wheels thanks to a standard 8-speed automatic gearbox. The Cayenne Coupé puts enough power to the wheels to get to 100 km/h in 6.0 seconds. The engine also provides enough power to tow 3,500 kg.
Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupé
The Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupé is the most stylish plug-in hybrid luxury SUV you can buy. It features a PHEV powertrain that combines a 3.0-litre V6 with 335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque paired with a 100-kW electric motor for a combined 455 horsepower. It can drive 30 kilometres in 100 % electric power and reaches 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds. The 14.1-kWh battery can be recharged in only 2,3 hours.
Porsche Cayenne S Coupé
The Porsche Cayenne S Coupé starts at $101,500 and gets its power from a 2.9-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers 434 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. The Cayenne S Coupé reaches 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds.
Porsche Cayenne Turbo Coupé
The Cayenne Turbo Coupé gets quite a bit more power with a twin-turbo V8 that develops 541 horsepower and 568 pound-feet of torque. That’s quite a lot of power and good enough to reach 100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds.
The Porsche Cayenne Coupé is still versatile despite its sleeker profile. There’s 625 litres of total cargo space behind the rear seats and the overall wheelbase (2,895 mm) is the same as the regular Cayenne’s.
