2019 Porsche Macan unveiled at Paris Motor Show

The new Porsche Macan was first showcased during an event in Shanghai a few months back, but it’s at the Paris Motor Show that most got their first glimpse of Porsche’s redesigned entry-level SUV.

The Macan has been a huge hit since it hit the market back in 2015. It has quickly become Porsche best-selling model in many regions and has served to introduce thousands of new customers to the Porsche brand.

The new 2019 Porsche Macan doesn’t change the original model’s base recipe. The Macan will continue to provide near-perfect driving dynamics and balance, and ultimately behave like a Porsche 911 with more ground clearance. That may seem like a stretch, but once you drive the Macan you tend to agree.

That perfect Porsche drive is complimented by added interior space and impressive versatility, all wrapped in a package that’s easy to drive around in the city. The Macan was designed for young, active families our couples, and the new 2019 model hasn’t changed in that regard.

On the other hand, you get an updated exterior design which mimics the new Cayenne, a new and more refined interior, more tech gadgets and improved engines.

A more luxurious, feature-rich interior for the 2019 Porsche Macan

The first thing one will notice about the interior of the new 2019 Porsche Macan is just how much more refined and luxurious it is. This new Porsche Macan is an absolute beauty both inside and out, but the interior is where the changes are most noticeable.

The center console is inspired by the redesigned Cayenne and Panamera models introduced over the last 18 months which means a sleek, modern interface with a 12.3-inch center screen housing the infotainment system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are part of the base offering as is the Porsche Connect system which gives you remote access to your Macan.

The same engine lineup is offered in the Macan, but each available engine is now more efficient.

The entry-level four-cylinder turbo will deliver 248 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque, and will get you to 100 km/h in less than 7.0 seconds. A seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox sends that power to all four wheels.

We know the 2019 Macan lineup will feature a Macan S and Macan Turbo trim, and probably a GTS version as well. As of yet, however, Porsche hasn’t confirmed any details about these three models. That said, you can expect an increase in power and the same interior and exterior improvements.

The 2019 Porsche Macan starts at $55,500 at Porsche Center Calgary. Come in today and learn more!
